CouncilNet Listserve Subscription Form

The Council's Listserve is only open to members of organizations that belong to the Council. If you are not a member of any of the Council's member organizations, please contact an organization affiliated with a language that you are interested in and become a member. To learn more about each of the Council's member organizations please visit the members' pages.

The Council's Listserve will enable all members of the Council to easily and quickly communicate with each other. The listserve will also enable the Council Secretariat to send out information and announcements of interest to all members about Council activities and provide general information about the field of less commonly taught languages. Please read the rules for using the Council's Listserve below.

To keep the listserve secure and limited to members only, and to protect your privacy, you must use the following form to subscribe. Soon after subscribing, you will receive a notice for the listserve that you are a member. If you wish to subscribe, please complete the following form and click on the "Subscribe" button at the end of the form. If you have any questions about the listserve, please contact Matthew Brown at the Council Secretariat.

Listserve Rules

The Council's listserve is to be used as a way for Council members to exchange Council business, not personal business. Council staff will not edit contributions to the listserve for content, style or errors in mechanics or fact. We hope that you will find participating in the listserve useful.

Like all means of communication, the Council's listserve will work best when everyone follows a few basic rules of conduct. Your privilege to use and contribute to the listserve depends on your compliance with the following guidelines. The Council may revoke your registration privileges if these guidelines are not followed.

Register and participate using your real name and email address. Using a false name or impersonating another member is inappropriate.

Do not discuss anything other than business related to the mission of the Council and its member organizations.

Do not post any advertisements or use copyrighted material without permission.

Do not be abusive, disruptive, or rude. This includes posting or sending personal attacks or other offensive, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate material.
