Resource Center

One of the objectives of the CouncilNet website is to provide members and other visitors with easy access to information and resources that are available on the World Wide Web that are relevant to the field of less commonly taught languages.

Originally, the plans for CouncilNet included establishment of a virtual library. This would offer, free of charge, access to an interactive database of Internet resources, and a list of institutions in the United States and around the world that are working to promote the teaching and learning of less commonly taught languages. However this is not in practical use yet.

Many proposed features of the library will eventually be available at language-specific websites established through the NFLC LangNet project; information about LangNet may be found at http://www.langnet.org/
